Our unwavering commitment to our Associates, their health and safety, self-directed work teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement create a rewarding and fun place to work.   Description The Badger Mining Fairwater Sand Plant has an immediate opening for a NIGHT SHIFT WASH PLANT ASSOCIATE who will be primarily repsonsible for thesafe and efficient operation of the wash process to meet quality specifications, production and customer needs. Wash Associates are responsible for the entire wash process: startup, shutdown, quality tests, maintenance and repair and must be able to rebuild components as needed. Position requires basic maintenance, equipment operations and computer skills. An understanding of the mining process to assist when needed is essential. Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High school diploma Basic math and readingskills Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills Strong ability to problem solve High level attention to detail Mechanically inclined Experience operating heavy equipment a plus Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, twist, stoop, workat elevated heights andoutside in all weather condition Job specific Duties and Responsibilities Monitor wash controls to ensure the plant is running as efficiently as possible while maintaining quality, production and customer needs. Perform lab testing requirements including but not limited to sieve and turbidity tests Troubleshoot and adjust process based on quality data/tests as needed Identify out of spec products and troubleshoot and adjust processes as needed to bring products back into spec Perform workplace examinations/inspections to identify and eliminate hazards in order to work safely Troubleshoot and assist with equipment failure or process flows Perform or assist with wash process maintenance duties as needed Work with Operations Team to ensure stockpile management. This is not an all inclusive list. Associates may be asked to assist in other areas of the plant as needed.
