Share Email Opening Title Lead Independent Living Specialist  Description OCCK, Inc. is seeking Lead Independent Living Specialist with supervisory experience. Our Lead Independent Living Specialists provide training, support and supervision to Independent Living Specialists and Direct Support Professionals who provide training and supports to people with disabilities. Lead Independent Living Specialists work in the community, people’s homes, and in the office.  They must have a philosophy that emphasizes consumer control and understand that people with disabilities are the best experts on what their needs are. People with disabilities should have equal opportunity to decide how and where to live, work, and be active members of the communities they reside in, particularly in reference to the services they receive that affect their day-to-day lives and access to Independence.   Position Requirements A bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience. Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Knowledge of available community resources Evidence of computer literacy. A strong work history.
