GENERAL PURPOSE

Under the administrative supervision of the Regional Director, the Children’s Services Clinical Supervisor is a vital member of the leadership team responsible for oversight and delivery of clinical services for youth, development and clinical growth of supervisees, and clinical documentation across children’s programs. This position is responsible for the evaluation of clinical care systems throughout all children’s programs (FIT, Sacramento TBS, Kaiser TBS, Yolo Community Based Services, Yolo Bridges FSP, Yolo TBS), ensures clinical policies are consistent with the overall goals of the programs, ensures continuity and integrity of all clinical services, provides clinical consultation within TPCP and to system partners, and supervision to colleagues/interns in individual, triadic, and group format in compliance with BBS requirements.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is an at-will leadership position across multiple children’s programs. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day clinical supervision of assigned staff who perform the established clinical duties of the program. This is a management position responsible for ensuring that the clinical needs of members are met, and that necessary paperwork is complete and accurate. Periodically supervises Family Coordinators or other program staff and assists the Program Directors in the functioning of programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)

  • Provides individual and group clinical supervision to staff and student interns in compliance with BBS requirements including: Completion of the Supervisor Agreement for new supervisory relationships, Submission of the supervisor Self-Assessment Form to the BBS, establish emergency provisions, and conduct annual Supervisee Evaluations of strengths and limitations.
  • Serves as primary clinical consultant representing children’s services with system partners including Galt Joint Elementary Unified School District.
  • Assists teams with coordination and service plans that reflect measurable objectives
  • Conducts Quality Management activities as instructed by the Program Director, such as preparation for county Utilization and Review audits, internal audits, review of services provision and charting, and other projects as assigned     
  • Participates in off-site trainings and provides in-service training for all staff and system partners
  • Oversees processing of all medical records
  • Assists teams in prioritizing resources to complete paperwork requirements per county and outlining areas for improvement in documentation
  • Assists the Program Directors in all areas of program development as needed.
  • Problem solves communication difficulties between staff and members by providing interventions to enhance communication
  • Provides prompt intervention in the event of a crisis both to stop the crisis and to notify, when indicated, persons and agencies necessary for the resolution of the crisis situation both during business hours as well as after hours on call support
  • Ensures the safety, health, and wellbeing of the members

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Compensation: $87,000 - 110,000 per year

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

Education, Training and Experience

A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field and valid license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); Must have held that license for at least two (2) years and practiced psychotherapy or directly supervised trainees, interns, or associates that perform psychotherapy as part of their clinical practice for at least two years within the last five-year period immediately preceding supervision. Experience providing clinical supervision in a children’s community mental health setting strongly preferred.

 Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:

California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration if driving; and,

  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
  • Licensed with BBS or CA Board of Psychology for minimum of two years. Must have held that license for at least two (2) years and practiced psychotherapy or directly supervised trainees, interns, or associates that perform psychotherapy as part of their clinical practice for at least two years within the last five-year period immediately preceding supervision.
