The position will be based in Palo Alto and reports to the Director of Engineering and works closely with the R&D Team. In this role you will: Develop and maintain touch-based UI applications utilizing QT/QML and deployed to an embedded Linux platform. Develop, unit test, integrate and document embedded Linux software components. Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to define the interaction between subsystems and components. Work closely with the product, engineering, and science teams to define the scope, acceptance criteria, and planning of software features. Work with V&V team to maintain an approved internal Quality System that meets the requirements of various Regulatory Authorities for medical devices. Identify and bridge technical gaps and help resolve technical conflicts Continuously participate in improving the team development process by sharing your ideas and being receptive to feedback   Position Requirements Education and Experience: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field 3+ years in software engineering role Experience in QT / QML and user interface programming Strong C/C++ skills with a focus on embedded systems Ability to develop and debug in Linux using tools for Linux systems Experience with cross compiling Python and bash scripting familiarity  Familiarity with source control management (GitHub), Virtualization, and hardware simulation techniques.   Ability to quickly learn new technologies and switch contexts as needed Experience in medical domain and understanding FDA software requirements is a big plus.
