Summary: The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the promotion and brand development of BRMS by creatively developing and maintaining all aspects of marketing the business, its products and services. This will require strategic planning with and management of an outsourced third-party marketing team with a focus on sales materials, presentations, company communications, web and social media. The Marketing Specialist must have positive energy, work well with others and be an innovative thinker.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works onsite or remote with a consistent schedule or attendance.

 

Product Marketing and Sales

  • Develop creative ideas that promote business development which further enhances the interest and needs of current and future clients.
  • Support the sales team; set marketing and sales objectives by collaborating with and developing field sales action plans. Support presentation and event initiatives.
  • Support client services team; educate both internal and external clients about BRMS product features and benefits through content creation and distribution. Develop renewal templates.
  • Maintain annual marketing calendar and budget.
  • Create and update content for marketing collateral. Design collateral using InDesign, Photoshop and Microsoft products.
  • Develop ongoing email campaigns for products, system enhancements, company announcements, and wellness initiatives.
  • Identify marketing opportunities through client, broker and partner engagement.
  • Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
  • Assist with event planning, including working with vendors, event coordinators, and design teams for on-site collateral.

 

Online and Social Media

  • Develop a member engagement strategy for customers online through our website, online systems, social channels and blog.
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performances.
  • Write content and assist with design layout of website, online systems, social
  • channels, blog, webinars, explainer videos, etc.
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a social way while cultivating leads and advocating for BRMS.
  • Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns.
  • Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.

 

Administrative

  • Maintain a high level of customer service in all aspects of the position.
  • Prepare reports and coordinate projects as requested.
  • Assist with special events planning.
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality.
  • Assist sales team in drafting presentations and proposals as needed.
  • Maintain marketing distribution email lists.
  • Print, bind and prepare presentation packets.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but must be able to oversee the relationship with outsourced third-party marketing firm.

Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing.
  • Must be a strong creative thinker and be able to apply your vision to business products.
  • Strong organizational skills, writing, project and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task efficiently.
  • Works well under pressure with tight deadlines in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff as well as outside clients and vendors
  • Be willing to grow with changing demands of the position and the company
  • Experience in digital marketing, product marketing, and/or product management.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms.
  • Strong computer skills including Power Point, Word, Excel, Teams, other Microsoft Office Products, Outlook 365, Zoom and Webex.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related concentration or minimum 3 plus years relevant on-the-job experience.

 

Language Skills: Ability to read, speak, and write effectively in English. Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, memos, letters, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively address or resolve customer service issues within guidelines of the position.

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid, class C license in state working with no adverse driving record.
