Share Email Opening Title BI Developer   Category Information Technology   Description Healthcare BI Developer Overview: Easterseals’ Health Information Technology (HIT) team is a small group of dedicated, data-oriented professionals.  Our team includes a data architect, project/product management, and data analysts.  Healthcare, billing, and financial data is gathered from disparate sources, cleansed, and organized in a data warehouse and associated data marts in a SQL Servicer environment.  The Warehouse/marts are hosted on site (not cloud).  Out Team is growing to include an experienced Power BI developer who is adept at story-telling through data visualization.  The primary function of the Healthcare BI Developer is to design, develop, test, deploy, and support Easterseals’ WeCare Power BI solution.  Both front-end and back-end tool development will be necessary for this role as data from our data warehouse (claims, financial, and EHR) as well as unknown data from new sources will be used.  Work Requirement: The position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder').  Main Responsibilities Design and develop visualization solutions that provide a clear, proficient, and consistent BI product. Deliver BI capabilities in line with Easterseals’ data architecture vision, strategy, principles, and standards; get buy-in from stakeholders, and management. Serve as an expert resource on matters of data visualization to business and technology teams in all phases of development, implementation, and support. Document the design and delivery of solutions to enable the support and use of solutions by the technology and business teams, enabling a clear lineage from the source data. Train users of the delivered products. Requirements 3+ years of demonstrated experience building visualizations and KPIs within Power BI using healthcare and financial data. Proficient using Power BI, DAX, Modelling, TSQL, and Performance tuning technologies. Desired Technologies:  Python to perform data trending, classifications/clustering, and predictive analysis. Comfortable using SQL Server, Visual Studio or VS Code, GIT, and using dev ops tools such as JIRA or Azure dev ops Self-starter with strong analysis, architecture, and design skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and collaborate with team members and others throughout the organization. Must be able to demonstrate work and code samples from multiple projects.   Position Requirements Education and Experience Required: Coding skills in languages such as SQL, Python and/or R Analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with statistical software (e.g., Stata, SPSS) Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques Reporting and data visualization skills using software like Power BI Understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to set and meet deadlines Ability to work in high-pressure situations Experience with statistical software Technical writing skills Excellent attention to detail Strong written/verbal communication skills Ability to QA and troubleshoot data Undergraduate degree in mathematics or related mathematics field, computer science or masters in health informatics or equivalent boot camp certifications in data coding and analytics matched to job and industry requirements. Preference for persons with previous healthcare BI Developer experience; 1 – 5 years preferred; Industry Knowledge in IDD/SA/MH healthcare data preferred.
