Share Email Opening Title Treasury Staff Accountant 1   Description POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION The Treasury Staff Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day cash and debt processing and accounting for all entities under NTT Global Data Centers Americas. This will include opening new bank accounts, maintaining company's banking and debt information, scheduling electronic payments, reconciling accounts, researching, and forecasting to ensure sufficient working capital. Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manages, maintains, and enhances daily cash management including reconciliation Performs cash and debt forecasting on a weekly basis Schedules all wire payments, including affiliate debt interest payments Manages refinance or settlement of term notes Manages requirements for short-term liquidity needs Maintains listing of all company bank accounts with all the related information Works with parent treasury group to open or close accounts as needed Maintains listing of all corporate credit cards and credit card facilities, including opening, closing and suspending credit cards Communicates large transactions to parent treasury group when payments exceed daily limits Manages all payment failures and exceptions and works directly with the bank and treasury to resolve issues Ensures compliance with parent company treasury policy Reconciles intercompany balances and schedules intercompany advances and settlements Manages and reconciles statement of equity Clears daily cash transactions in Oracle and performs cash reconciliations Engages in various special projects such as system enhancements and business integrations Performs other accounting/finance duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES General knowledge of financial and banking terminology Advanced Excel skills Proficient with computers and comfortability with learning various accounting/banking software Experience with Oracle or other large ERP system preferred Proficient use of other Microsoft programs such as Word, Power Point and Outlook Able to be highly confidential Comfortable knowledge of US GAAP and Accounting Principles, including internal controls and segregation of duties Able to work in a team environment and can work independently Manages stress and/or fast-paced environment effectively Excellent communication and problem-solving skills EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited school. At least 2 years of previous work experience in a fast-paced role related to a treasury/accounting environment Strong understanding and previous experience with cash reconciliations Advanced Excel skills   Position Requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending Able to hear and speak into a telephone. Close visual work on a computer terminal. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments. Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. Able to climb a ladder and work on a raised platform. WORK CONDITIONS This position is expected to be remote for the foreseeable future with an occasional need to be onsite in a shared worked environment.
