The Le Meridien Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is currently seeking dynamic and motivated individuals for the position of On-Call Banquet Servers to join our team at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. As an On-Call Banquet Server, you will set-up, service and break down assigned functions in a safe, accident-free manner according to standard policies and procedures, while providing the highest level of service to our guests. Scheduled hours will vary weekly between Monday-Sunday. Weekdays, weekends, and holidays are required.
The responsibilities of the On-Call Banquet Server include but are not limited to:
Read and understand banquet event order (BEO) and know the proper way to complete the room set-up as indicated.
Set tables as assigned correctly and uniformly.
Keep station neat and clean while servicing guest per established policies, guidelines and procedures.
Prepare all dressings and cold sauces.
Ensure quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.
Serve all items utilizing appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
Assist servers and set up housepersons if needed.
Immediately relay all guest complaints and compliments to management.
Maintain health and sanitation standards.
Maintain safe serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages
Assist in setting tables with linen and basic silver and glass maintaining high standard of presentation
Assist in breaking down events and cleaning rooms after functions
