JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the management and coordination of shift specific operation related to the housekeeping, environmental and laundry functions for Hancock Regional Hospital and offsite facilities. This position has responsibility for planning and implementing the housekeeping program. Monitoring associate productivity and quality, inspecting outcomes and looking for cleaning issues to correct. Understands and meets the requirements of the hospital and all regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The supervisor should have proficiency with technology including phones, computer software, and Windows based software.
  • Should have good reading comprehension and business writing skills.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to supervise others and lead a team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Should have but is not limited to previous housekeeping work experience or previous management experience (Although not required).
  • The supervisor should have proficiency with technology including phones, computer software, (Windows and Microsoft Office) and Windows based software.
  • Should have good reading comprehension and business writing skills.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to supervise others and lead a team.

Position Requirements

LICENSURE/CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Associate Degree or equivalent experience. 5 years’ experience. Computer skills with MS Office.

ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Customer Service Fire and Safety Confidentiality Infection Control Corporate Compliance Annual Unit Specific Competencies, and all education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies and/or Hancock Regional Hospital.
