The successful candidate provides support of the accounts payable and general administration (G&A) section of the general ledger and is primarily responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. We are looking for an individual to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, be proactive in streamlining business processes, and support an efficient and compliant finance infrastructure. In this role, you will: Manage the overall aspects of the Accounts payable general ledger function; supporting the operational team with technical direction and ensuring all deadlines are met Responsible for the monthly general ledger close process for the accounts payable and general administration area including review of the journal entries, monthly accruals, and balance sheets reconciliations Responsible for accounting of fixed assets Perform flux analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts for the areas of responsibility Support the completion of both external quarterly/annual audits and compliance reviews for the assigned responsible areas Participate in the implementation of an efficient and effective close and consolidation process Participate in critical accounting automation projects including the design, implementation and maintenance of scalable finance and reporting systems     Position Requirements   Essential Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required Minimum of 5 years in general ledger accounting Solid understanding of GAAP and strong foundation in operational accounting Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail Ability to work and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment Commitment to providing quality work in a timely manner Team-player and self-starter with a can-do attitude Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel skills required Experience with Infor Syteline or similar enterprise reporting systems preferred     Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Sr. Accountant: General Ledger - Temp to Perm   Location Palo Alto (HQ)   About the Organization SCITON is an industry leader and manufacturer of medical aesthetic lasers and light source technologies.
