JOB SUMMARY

Do you have experience in the furniture industry?

Aa a Product Marketing Manager at Grand Rapids Chair Company, you will be right at the center of developing new products, content, and advertising for Grand Rapids Chair Company, a design-forward and innovative brand

Working on a small team of creative and collaborative coworkers, your role will manage policies, procedures, budgets, and resources for marketing and advertising, such as product marketing, brand development and positioning, website development and maintenance, market research, and consumer insights, trade advertising and events with an ability to provide analysis and drive results.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborative development of an annual marketing plan that supports the company’s overall strategic plan, targeting the company’s main client groups and audiences
  • Supports development and execution annual media strategy (print and electronic) that builds overall brand awareness, among relevant audiences and supports the sale of new and/or existing products
  • Negotiates corresponding advertising and sales contracts with various firms (e.g., advertising agencies, various A&D trade magazines, etc)
  • Oversees website development, upgrades and ongoing maintenance including product content, symbols and visualizer. Monitors web analytics monthly to help determine potential content or functional changes
  • Contributor to new product design and development.  Creates launch content including the development of photography, video, interactive assets, collaborating on the story development, marketing collateral and selling tools in support of the go-to-market strategy.
  • Manages the development and execution of brand catalog, price list and website content. Aligns product information across digital and print.  Manages product content including specifications, pricing, symbols and material information on owned and partner channels including Material Bank and CET.
  • Provides marketing support as needed to Director of Marketing & Design, Sales & Sales Ops and Independent Sales Representatives.
  • Understands, analyzes, and reports on all digital metrics and KPIs
  • Writes copy for both print and digital advertising
  • Creates and manages email marketing campaigns
  • Coordinates with GRCC team members to organize any trade events
  • Assists with photoshoot activities
  • Plans and coordinate corporate training events for sales team members
  • Keeps current of developments in the fields of marketing, communications, and public relations
 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in furniture required
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of work experience in Marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing focus preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Proved track record managing product launches from concept to execution
  • Hands-on experience in product design, development and commercialization
  • Experience with Google Tools (AdWords, Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, trends)
  • Experience with CMS platforms (Hubspot)
  • Experience with keyword tools (Google Keyword Planner, Keywords Everywhere, SpyFu)
  • Experience with Adobe suite of products
  • Experience with search optimization tools
  • Experience with E-commerce is a major plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Passion for design and interiors

  • Big picture thinker
