Under the direction of the senior leader for Nonferrous Marketing this individual will be responsible for both sales and purchasing of Nonferrous metals. Working with Alter yards/outside suppliers to insure material is sold to the appropriate consumer at the appropriate price. Must be able to collaborate with multiple departments inside Alter to obtain this goal. Ability to maintain and develop accounts; including cold calling. Stay abreast of pricing trends locally and world-wide.
Share responsibility for marketing and inventory management with other Nonferrous Traders
Use resources and understand trends to evaluate market conditions and pricing strategy
Use strong understanding of commodity markets
Utilize SAI reports to analyze data for trends; track volume and margins
Yard liaison; interaction with yard personnel a must
Interface with suppliers and consumers
Other duties as assigned
