Position MT or MLT  
Description

Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the medical technologist performs all laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

 
Location PERRY COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL  
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time  
Shift Rotating Days and Evenings  
Position Requirements

Education

MT: Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry or related science. Mathematical, computer, reasoning and language skills at the college level.

CLT: Associates Degree in Science

MLT: Associate degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution. Mathematical, computer, reasoning and language skills at the college level (2 years).

 

Licensure/Certification

MT: Certification as medical technologist or certification eligibility is required. ASCP certification preferred.

CLT: Certification as clinical laboratory technologist is required.

MLT: Certification as medical laboratory technician is preferred. ASCP certification preferred. Must be current in CPR. Must provide copies of licensure/certification for personnel records including renewals.

Must be current in BLS/CPR.
