For more information please visit www.astrazeneca.com .   Description Location: Frederick, MD We are currently seeking rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and seniors working towards a Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, and/or Engineering for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2022. Objectives/Goals of the Position: The primary objective of this position is to further develop our Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) Tracker for all products on-site.        Primary Duties: The intern will work directly with SHE to obtain information to build-out a Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) Database to determine BOD impact to our process solutions during discharge, if required. By working with outside labs, MS&T and manufacturing to pull samples for analysis and evaluate/determine potential impact to process wastewater discharge per regulatory requirements.   Position Requirements Rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing a Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, and/or Engineering. Proficiency in Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
