This summer internship opportunity Drug Products and Combination Products group in AstraZeneca Global Tech Operations. Objectives: Learn basics of biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Learn how to perform product defect trending. Learn how to perform product yield trending. Identify Cost fo Goods and Manufacturing (COGM) reduction opportunities by product yield and defect trending in DP vials and pre-filled syringes. Primary Duties: Review existing documents such as technical reports, batch records etc. to extract information. Interface with different functions to collect information. Perform statistical modeling to analyze and organize information/ Generate a report (or memo) to summarize the results. Perform tracking and trending of drug product batch & defect data. Give a presentation at the end of the internship to Biologics Operations Team. Learn the basics of working in a  professional cross-functional matrixed industry environment.   Position Requirements Minimum 2 years of undergraduate work in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
