For more information please visit www.astrazeneca.com .   Description We are currently seeking undergraduate juniors, seniors and/or master-level candidates who are working towards obtaining a degree in Engineering, Environmental Policy/Sciences, or Energy Management for an internship during the summer.  Location: Gaithersburg,MD/ Hybrid Objectives: This internship will assess the structural, environmental and cost impacts of our refrigerated biologic package designs. The work will include Life Cycle Analysis, computer modeling, literature research and interfacing with suppliers with the ultimate deliverable of authoring an analysis including a recommendation for or against the use of recycled paperboard. Primary Duties: Organize a team-building environmental stewardship event for local employees that will take place during the summer. Research will be conducted on the impact of adding or increasing the amount of recycled content within the commercial packaging of biologic products kept refrigerated a 5 degrees C.    Position Requirements Rising undergraduate juniors, seniors and/or master-level candidates who are working towards obtaining a degree in Engineering, Environmental Policy/Sciences, or Energy Management.  Technical skills: materials science, statistics, economics, environmental sciences, mechanical engineering, package design Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0+       Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location Gaithersburg, MD   This position is currently not accepting applications.
