Description

Track Utilities is seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Estimator to join our growing team. In this position, you will oversee the estimates of all Power projects and manage the construction bidding process. The estimator will be involved in both estimates for overhead, and underground estimates.

 
Position Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Review bid documents, site conditions, plans, and specifications
  • Travel to each job site to review in person before submitting the final estimate
  • Conducts pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimate
  • Reviews full project and determines the best solution based on cost
  • Analyze and estimate employee needs and cost for labor per project
  • Assists the scheduler with estimated project duration and order of work
  • Investigates better cost options available for all projects
  • Provides internal reporting and projections for cost spending and profit
  • Prepares estimates by calculating complete take-off
  • Maintains files and backup documentation on all estimates
  • Develop and maintain relationships and collaborate with all levels of leadership, clients, and co-workers
  • Present final budget estimate to leadership, and owners with clarity
  • Proficient in analyzing and understanding plans, submittals, and construction details

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Two years experience as an Estimator or in a similar position
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to manage multiple bids with deadlines
  • Experienced at compiling, presenting, and following strict budgets
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • In-depth understanding of the construction industry
  • Self-motivated and self-directed

 

Additional Requirements

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Idaho Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
  • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
