Position Summary:
The Compliance Manager of Pennsylvania will ensure compliance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s (PA DOH) Medical Marijuana Program (MMP) and other pertinent state and federal regulatory agencies as needed. Areas of focus include statewide retail, cultivation and manufacturing associated compliance duties.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify that each submission to the PA DOH is complete and accurate
- Compile the documents required within the PA DOH submission forms for each proposed cultivation, processing or retail facility alteration or operational request
- Communicate effectively with each internal Trulieve department to gather necessary requirements for submissions
- Represent the company at Grower-Processor and Dispensary location inspections
- Act as the Trulieve internal company compliance point of contact for all projects that need regulatory approval for Pennsylvania.
- Special compliance projects as proposed by Leadership
- Communicate with internal departments on all new rulemaking initiatives set forth by the PA DOH
- Create action plans for implementing new rulemaking requirements set forth by the PA DOH within a given timeframe
- Provide weekly updates on all pending submissions to the PA DOH
- Assist with tracking and managing compliance goals across the company
- Assist the PA State Director with the company’s permit renewal process in Pennsylvania
- Work with other department for preparing reports, correspondence, corrective actions etc. as needed
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 3+ years of PA DOH Medical Marijuana Program compliance experience with a track record of success
- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting medical marijuana program laws and regulations
- Prior compliance and/or cannabis consultant or legal experience is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of limited license medical cannabis markets and cannabis business operations
- Able to read, understand, and analyze laws, regulations, application requirements, and other materials
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to effectively manage priorities across projects and meet deadlines
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and also in a dynamic, fast-paced small team environment
- Clear, concise, and professional communication in written and verbal formats; able to communicate across organizational levels
- Self-starter with a “can do” attitude
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be willing to work extended hours as needed to meet approaching deadlines (following timely submission of a project, time off may be granted at manager’s discretion to reward for going above and beyond)
- Must be able to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check
- Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties
WORK SCHEDULE
- 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet deadlines
