The Internship will be a 10–12 week summer program. This is a paid, full time (40 hours/week) position 


The intern will provide technical experience to college students and advance our qualification processes to the next level in alignment with the new validation improvement projects (in Shipping/Equipment Validation and GVLMS)  that will be implemented in 2022. Validation intern may also assist on validation projects supporting the site scorecard goals for 2022. The intern will work on individual/team projects related to Shipping / Equipment Validation and GVLMS. The main goal is to assist with implementation of periodic review program for passive shippers at FMC.

Primary Duties:

  • Assist Validation Associates/Scientists with field execution of validation testing described in validation protocols.
  • Assist Validation Associates/Scientists with compilation of data and finalizing validation study packages to support closure of validation technical reports.
  • Assist with implementation of improvement/ lean maturity projects (pertaining to shipping and/or equipment validation) within Validation department. This would involve working with some cross-functional teams at AstraZeneca FMC.
Position Requirements
  • Rising sophomore, junior or senior working to obtain a bachelor's degree in engineering or science-related field.
  • Knowledgeable of application and practices of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; technical writing skills preferred.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft application tools proficiency (MS Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Good organizational skills, situational Leadership
  • Decision-making skills
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0+.
