Description

We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bio-engineering, or related engineering field 

Location: Gaithersburg/ Hybrid

The intern will develop a procedure which helps Global Technical Operation (Device-GTO) group to accelerate the process of periodic risk review and impact of the received complaints to design, use, and manufacturing process of combination products (e.g., accessorized pre-filled syringe and autoinjector devices).

Objectives:

  •  Work on risk management of commercially distributed combination products
  •  Change based impact assessment matrix development and change evaluation to the combination products
  •  Management of design history file and change controls

Primary Duties:

  •  Review the existing risk management document for commercial accessorized pre-filled syringe and autoinjector devices and obtain relevant information to product’s defects and received complaints.
  • Create a procedure for evaluation of the defined device defects against risk management files to identify the potential impacts to risk management files.
  • Establish a procedure to identify the potential impact from received complaints to the risk management files for optimization of annual periodic risk review process.
  •  Document all the performed activities in a report.
  • Present based on the performed activities at the end of the internship to Biologics Operation Team.
  •  Learn and practice cross-functional teamwork environment.
 
Position Requirements
  • Rising junior or senior working towards a Bachelor degree, Master, or PhD student in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related field.
  • Engineering background, scientific and logical thinking, excellent data organization, data mining, and  documentation skills.    
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0+
