Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for developing and driving our cloud computing strategy along with assisting with the integration of new emerging technologies and public cloud services, cloud identity, cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring strategies. You will work with the development teams and other stakeholders to drive and enable the migration and refactoring of on-premise applications to cloud native design and deployment methodologies. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Cloud and Identity Architecture, Strategy; Execution
  • Develops and recommends Cloud and Identity standards.
  • Define, implement and enforce the Cloud Standard Operating Environment, Cloud standards, and associated tools/platforms/frameworks for the ABM portfolio, in coordination with IT-wide efforts and Technology Architecture and Planning.
  • Drive Proof-of-Concepts and implementation, with hands-on involvement as SME, for new items: build and integrate new technologies, work with outside vendors on SaaS and PaaS applications, etc.
  • Contribute to, and influence, IT-wide definition and enhancements of public cloud platforms customization, standards and best practices for ABM: define portfolio specific requirements and drive solutions to address them, represent the portfolio in IT-wide coordination, etc.
  • Understand and build on emerging industry trends and how it works with Certified Group.
  • Define and execute the portfolio strategy for public and private Cloud migrations, DC consolidation and on-prem evolution, in alignment with overall IT strategy and directions. For execution of strategy, will partner cross-functionally with project managers and IT teams.
  • Define and enforce in the NTS portfolio the Public and Private Cloud architecture and best practices: availability; redundancy schemes, performance, Disaster Recovery, DB and Interfacing Systems, etc. Schedule, perform and monitor system backups and as necessary perform data recoveries
  • Recommend hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and forecasts
  • Schedule, plan and perform system upgrades including coordinating the transition from test to production environments
  • Continuous improvement of the Business Continuity plan with the goal of reducing RTO and RPO
  • Perform administration functions in Active Directory with Group Policy, DNS and PowerShell
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to mentor coworkers and share knowledge with internal customers
  • Rely on established processes, best practices and experience to minimize downtime and outages
  • Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
  • Develops documentation on procedures and processes
  • Enforces security policies and manages access permissions
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and interact well with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands to prioritize, address, and resolve support issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

In addition to regularly scheduled hours and responsibilities, you are frequently required to assist on special projects and emergencies. This includes, but is not limited to, regularly scheduled evening or early morning maintenance in the Data Center and emergency response at any time (24x7). These additional responsibilities are an essential function of the job and are required to ensure continuous operations and minimize disruption to end-users.

Supervision:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities but will act as Technical Leader within the company

 

 
Position Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or experience in lieu of
  • 4+ years of Microsoft Windows (MCSA and/or MCSE certified preferred)
  • 4+ years of VMware experience (VCA and/or VCP certified preferred)
  • 4+ years of Networking experience (CCNA and/or CCNP certified preferred)
  • Experience in driving Cloud migration and strategy. Experience in driving new infrastructure technologies from proof-of-concepts to full production implementation.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux, with demonstrated hands-on experience on the following domains: Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Azure AD Domain Services, Azure AD Connect, Azure AD B2C, MFA, Azure Core Platform: Compute, Storage, Networking, General automation, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, PowerShell scripting
  • Design and implement complex identity management solutions utilizing tools such as PKI, ADFS, Azure AD Connect
  • Experience with designing, migrating, implementing, and managing Azure IaaS including Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateways, Azure DNS, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, Monitor, Security Center, and Log Analytics
  • Experience with Active Directory Federation Services
  • Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and writing), influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to create system and process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence and UML diagrams, inter and intra system dependencies within the functional domain and across them.
  • Enterprise level (more than 15,000 users) experience with design, implementation, and operation of Microsoft platforms technologies
  • Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills at the System Engineer/Architect level.
  • Experience with formal SDLCs and AGILE development methodologies.
  • Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources.
  • History of participating in the entire lifecycle (planning, deployment, maintenance) of critical IT services

  • communications/computer components
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens
  • Noise level varies from quiet to loud
  • Temperature varies from hot to cold
  • Interactive and fast-paced team oriented tasks
