Role Summary:

The Hub Cultivation Planner will be responsible for identifying cultivation needs and capabilities across a multisite, multistate organization. The cultivation planner will analyze historical sales data, current inventory, & projected sales based on general sales plus launches & promotions. The cultivation planner will use this data to determine plant needs & communicate this information to the scheduler at each site. The cultivation planner will work in conjunction with the demand planner, production planner, & materials planner to ensure a steady supply of flower to production & wholesale teams. The cultivation planner will tie production needs into the beginning the phases of cultivation and use this to determine clone needs & align those with available materials & production capacity. The cultivation planner will also create reports for management outlining the effectiveness of the schedule as it relates to retail sales & distribution inventory levels. The cultivation planner must be able to do all of this with the life cycle of the plant & length of the post-harvest process in mind.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive list of cultivation needs as related to production, sales, & inventory
  • Provide cultivation plans to a minimum of 5 sites in 3 states
  • Coordinate with materials planner to ensure availability of needed packaging related to the demand plan
  • Evaluate effectiveness of cultivation plans & adjust to maximize impact
  • Provide weekly & monthly schedule of cultivation needs with a focus on 90-120 days out
  • Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement with an emphasis on collaboration and personal ownership
  • Maintain and present key performance metrics and demand monitoring for senior management
  • Determine methods to address and correct planning behaviors that adversely affect forecast accuracy, service, and inventory position
  • Act as subject matter expert regarding production planning processes and work with the planning manager, supply chain analysts, and central data organizations
  • Manage and partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Model material supply flow & provide feedback on any shortages
  • Other tasks as assigned by management

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business, supply chain, science, engineering, data analytics or related discipline
  • Demand & Supply Planning, Inventory management, S&OP qualifications (CPIM, CPSM, APICS…)
  • 5+ years working with multiple ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • Visual Basic preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • 3+ years of operational business unit experience in Supply Chain & Logistics. Demand or Supply Planning and Customer Supply Chain experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influencing as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in, and commitment
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills interacting cross functionally at multiple levels within the enterprise.
  • Ability to foster a winning culture and process driven environment
  • Utilize data to drive decision making and continuous improvement

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. 
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
