Assurety Consulting has a great opportunity for a Sr. QA Engineer (Automation) Position.   The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for collaborating with the requirements and business analysts, clients, IT developers and engineers, and the PMO. The individual develops complex test plans, test cases, and requirements for to test case matrix, and makes sure that the software being released is bug-free to minimize customer experience and cost impacts. Evaluate and design testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards. Involved with a variety of user testing. Develops automation plans and scripts and implements testing automation. Prepares complex data sets to test logic, error handling, and system workflows. Conducts testing of more complex features. Verifies fixes. Monitors and documents testing results according to required procedures. Possesses deep knowledge of software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist in complex technical and business matters.

  • Recognize the mission of the client organization, analyze complex business and technical and quality assurance needs, and develop plans, test cases, and execute test cases to make sure that the software is released without errors and bugs.
  • Implement complex data, API, and automation-driven strategies and cut Quality assurance costs of old and new application functionalities.
  • Automate business-to-business data-driven functional and business transaction testing.
  • With limited direction, carry out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet company and client standards and end-user requirements.
  • Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects and/or support testing as a witness to testing requirements.
  • Review all documentation for completeness, accuracy, and correctness,
  • Organized and maintained all quality assurance documentation.  Document all problems and work to resolve them. 
  • Report progress on problem resolution to management.  Devised improvements to current procedures and developed models of possible future configurations.
  • Perform workflow analysis and recommend quality improvements.
  • Implement system and application changes that sustain the revenues of the client, improve customer experience, cut workflow and operational costs, and bring efficiencies to the overall product, pricing, accounts receivable, workflow automation, revenue assurance systems, and applications.
  • Manage the workload and communicate the progress in daily meetings and weekly reports to the client
  • Identify risks and communicate risks to client and PMO.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies.
  • Incumbent function as a liaison between IT, Requirement analyst, client, and users and have both business and technical expertise.
  • Work with data files, flat files, XML, Jason, and other formats to define business and technical requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to developing agile and waterfall business, functional and technical requirements, API design documents, business needs statements, schedules, requirements matrix, reports, technical and business guides, management of data specifications changes, Change Request, Engineering Change Requests, Test Problem Reports, communications performance analytics, training PowerPoints to train customers (internal and external on new products, systems, supplication, processes).


  • 5+ years of analysis, evaluation, and user needs identification and quality assurance experience and skills to convert the needs and software requirements into Quality assurance and testing plans, and test cases to release bug and error-free software.
  • 1+ years of experience leading automation scripting, complex data-driven testing workstreams, and conducting API testing.
  • 1+ years of experience leading testing activities including some technical API and data-driven systems testing is a plus.
  • Must have problem-solving and consultant-type skills to recognize, analyze, and respond to business and technical problems.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and developing training content communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders related to integration management, and risk management is a big plus.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision of day-to-day tasks.
