For more information please visit www.astrazeneca.com .   Description Location: Frederick, MD We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field for an internship during the summer of 2022. Objectives/Goals of the position: The Electrical/Building Management System (BMS)/Environmental Monoitoring System (EMS) team requires the verification of EMS panel drawings and control panel schedules to maintain data integrity and document our validated system at Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC). B633 Mechanical Equipment Control (MEC) hardware upgrades on BMS in 2022 will also require documentation and oversight of the vendor, Siemens, throughout the internship period.   Primary Duties: The F&E Intern will assist the Electrical/BMS/EMS Team with verification of BMS/EMS drawings and provide daily support to technician activities to help ensure continuous operation of FMC utilities.     Position Requirements Basic understanding of HVAC equipment and electrical systems with the ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings. Expressed interest in automatic controls for building utilities including: programming, database work, and basic troubleshooting capabilities. Experience with Siemens Apogee Insight/Tridium preferred but not required. Candidate must be hands-on and willing-to-learn attitude. 2 years of undergraduate work toward a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
