We are looking for an experienced Mid-Level Financial Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will:

  • Work closely with program office personnel and other team members to support all areas of Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) efforts.
  • Prepare/analyze funding/execution documents and reports.
  • Utilize knowledge of Navy financial systems to support program office PPBE efforts.
  • Assist with DAR-Q reviews (Dormant Account Review-Quarterly)
  • Develop plans, schedules, and budgets to meet contractual requirements for a portion of a program.
  • Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess program process issues and develop risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving program planning, control, and execution.
  • Interact with Senior Level Military and Government officials, participate in communicating status to upper level management, review, design and implement process changes.
  • Serve as a resource for resolution of problems.
  • Develop documentation, reports, and project plans
  • May present briefings.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred.
  • 8 to 10 years of directly related experience in a government financial environment. Hands-on experience using any of the following Navy databases:
    • Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP)
    • Computer Optimized Batch Reconciliation Application (COBRA)
    • Program Budget Information System (PBIS)
    • Navy Execution Planning System (NEPS)
    • Procurement Budget Justification Documents (PDOCS)
    • Research Budget Justification Docs (RDOCS)
    • Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Desired Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Experience working in or with a government budget office is highly desired.
  • Experience as member of Navy Program contractor team a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are required. The candidate shall be able to:
    • Create, modify, and format charts.
    • Filter data and manage a filtered list.
    • Perform multiple-level sorting, use sorting options, and design considerations.
    • Use mathematical, logical, statistical, and financial functions.
    • Group and dissociate data and perform interactive analysis.
  • Basic Microsoft PowerPoint skills are required. The candidate shall be able to:
    • Create title and bullet slides.
    • Modify slide text.
    • Insert a table.
    • Work with text, drawn objects, and drawing tools.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word skills are required. The candidate shall be able to:
    • Create templates, use and customize styles.
    • Import and insert graphic elements.
    • Embed Excel data.
    • Customize toolbars.

Some TCG customers require individuals providing support to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations. COVID-19 vaccination status may affect employment opportunities.
