Job Summary

This position is responsible for procuring, developing, and managing game-day promotional giveaways and select promotional events. This person will also research trends and industry benchmarking regarding giveaways and promotions. Additionally, this person will lead a Bucco Brigade staff that is comprised of gameday staff and fan engagement events outside of PNC Park. This role is also responsible for supporting the work of the marketing and fan engagement team.



  1. Organize and participate in the ideation process to plan the organization’s promotional calendar.
  2. Implement and execute a bid system for gameday giveaway and promotional items to ensure best pricing and quality.
  3. Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings to build a fan-engaging promotional schedule.
  4. Utilize internal Business Intelligence team to analyze ticket purchase patterns and attendance numbers for key promotional nights.
  5. Develop and lead a dynamic Bucco Brigade team intended to support gameday presentation, community initiatives, and in-market fan engagement events.
  6. Collaborate with Director of Special Events to coordinate scheduling for all Bucco Brigade gameday needs.
  7. Manage Bucco Brigade inventory and staff for all fan engagement events outside of PNC Park.
  8. Manage yearly promotional budget.
  9. Provide support and planning for all gameday theme and specialty nights.
  10. Employee Management: Hire, train and supervise a dynamic Bucco Brigade staff.
  11. All other duties assigned by supervisor.


  1. Support departmental efforts including, but not limited to, alumni events, advertising efforts, and event coordination.
  2. Collaborate with content and creative on the development of item design and unique marketing executions to help sell key promo dates.
  3. Assist community relations department in securing autographs for organizational needs, mainly for the marketing department.
Position Requirements


  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin., Marketing, Sports Management or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of five years of marketing, promotions, and/or purchasing experience.
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


  1. Experience with a professional sports team.
