Description

Academy Gold is a global talent development and inclusion initiative that provides creative individuals of diverse backgrounds access and resources to achieving their career pathways in filmmaking. The initiative includes professional and creative development opportunities for above and below-the-line career pursuits through the Academy's established programs - Gold Rising, Gold Fellowship for Women, the Student Academy Awards, and the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. Academy Gold will also offer a full continuum of support for all past participants and award recipients of these programs through the newly established Gold Alumni Program.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Academy Gold Inclusion and Alumni Programs, you will support the team, focusing on recruiting, optimizing, and tracking the experience of our Gold Rising prospective candidates, Gold Rising Interns, and support the same for Gold Alumni and Gold Mentors. You are passionate, solutions-driven, people-focused, and project-oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Gold Rising intern applicants, Gold Rising Interns, and alumni inquiries.
  • Support Gold Rising recruitment activity including job postings, campus flyers, campus visits, sourcing and reviewing resumes of candidates, and incoming class data tracking.
  • Partner with Senior Director in organizing and managing the recruitment of applicants for Production Track.
  • Serve as owner of current class and all alumni directories.
  • Manage incoming class data collection including Gold Rising application forms and stipend forms.
  • Partner with the Senior Director in managing talent development via Gold Rising class projects and showcase.
  • Partner with Senior Director in preparing presentation materials for Gold Rising intern and alumni career development, advisory council meetings, and recruitment presentations.
  • Participate in the execution of alumni and mentor engagement activities, events, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the alumni team to assist with data entry of alumni from the Gold Rising internship enhancement program.
  • Collect related survey data, questionnaires, and feedback from alumni.
  • Partner with the alumni team for tracking alumni career progress metrics in the entertainment industry.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Director, including scheduling meetings, answering phones, greeting guests, creating meeting agendas, taking meeting notes, sorting mail, replying to general phone/mail/email requests, managing files, and processing invoices and expense reimbursements.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong research, analytical, and database management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels and across all groups of the organization.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe (PDFs). Experience with Airtable a plus.
  • Ability to communicate feedback and work in conjunction with outside vendors to effectively gather data and disseminate reporting.
  • Ability to multi-task and successfully handle competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams to get things done.
