Qualifications required: Manufacturing experience is preferred Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Programming / Computer Science / Information Systems or equivalent knowledge based on experience Demonstrated programming skills and understanding of relational database design and techniques C# and VBScript programming experience Detail and results-oriented with a strong desire to succeed Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers Able to complete assigned projects in a timely manner Able to adjust to a continuously changing environment A desire to combine programming skills with practical application, demonstrated by interacting with engineers and shop floor personnel on a daily basis Essential functions and responsibilities: Work with the Senior Programmer to analyze and develop software to meet company needs Test and deploy programs and systems Work with minimal supervision User training and documentation Fix and improve existing software Maintain the systems once they are up and running Willingness to work flexible hours to support manufacturing as needed Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems Report any potential food safety, legality, quality, or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices Must follow all company policies and procedures Non-essential skills and experience: Other duties as required Success factors/job competencies: Complete assigned projects on time Test and verifies code so that it can be implemented without error Meet company attendance and time reporting standards     Position Requirements Physical demands and work environment: Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.
