Description

The Home Lending Team at Northern Credit Union is seeking an experienced, dynamic, self-motivated, career minded individual to join a team of professionals that are dedicated to improving the lives of our members, their families, and communities. Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively cultivates key partnerships with local realtors and consumers, internal members and external business partners such as real estate professionals, business professionals, etc.;
  • Maintains a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities;
  • Provides exceptional service, ensuring a highly satisfied and memorable home buying experience for members;
  • Enthusiastically participates in educational programs, schools and/or conferences to develop knowledge and expertise in customer service, cross sale, job functions, and offer external workshops on programming offered to provide education to our communities on home ownership;
  • Prepares files for loan approvals, rate lock agreements for borrowers, closing, and third party investors as required; and
  • Consistently provides a high level of service while assisting members with the mortgage application.
 
Position Requirements
  • An Associate’s Degree preferred but not required;
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and working knowledge of mortgage industry is required;
  • Must possess exceptional relationship building skills, communication skills including public speaking and the ability to make sound judgements;
  • The ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced, high energy environment;
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales goals;
  • Proficiency with PC software and the ability to learn new computer programs efficiently; and
  • Preferred certifications include NMLS, GMA, CRMS, CMC, Licensed Real Estate Broker, and Licensed Real Estate Salesperson.
