Job Title: Financial Advisor (exempt status)

Position Location: Durham, NC
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Serve the financial needs of Credit Union members/clients utilizing a comprehensive financial planning approach. This is completed through one-on-one consultation and data gathering techniques. Once the analysis is complete, recommendations are made, advice is given, and the plan is scheduled for implementation.
The position is an employee of Coastal Federal Credit Union, assigned to the Wealth Management Department, and a dual employee/agent of the Broker-Dealer. Securities industry licensing is held by the Broker-Dealer.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide professional, exemplary service and follow-up with all assigned members/clients.
Tier all A and B members/clients for quarterly communication and annual review.
Document all members/clients contacts within dataVISION.
Complete and submit all required weekly sales and services activity reports.
Cross-sell Credit Union products when appropriate.
Participate in all required training classes and informational meetings scheduled by Coastal and/or the Broker-Dealer.
Complete all required regulatory and continuing education classes as needed to maintain approved securities licenses, insurance licenses, and professional designations.
Cultivate strong working relationships among Credit Union staff, members/clients, and other key centers of influence.
Actively participate in creating marketing plans for Wealth Management.
Promote Wealth Management branding and capabilities internally and externally.
Meet regularly with your assigned branch staffs, within your assigned market, to develop their referral skills and update their understanding of Wealth Management and the financial services industry trends, new developments, and new strategies.
