Description

Blue Marble Productions, Inc. is a world-class developer, processor, and co-packer of branded and private label alcohol and non-alcohol-based products for the beverage industry.

The Maintenance Planner assists the facility in providing the necessary maintenance resources and record keeping that is required to increase plant productivity, assist in maintenance work preparations to improve work efficiencies and increase plant performance through the planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting of repair activities.

  • Uses CMMS to develop a daily work schedule to secure adequate resources to complete preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance. Audit assignments and resources to ensure repair schedules and performance expectations are met. This includes maintenance and operations staff, materials, documents, work orders, change orders, and necessary approvals to perform work as planned.
  • Responsible to maintain all plant equipment records in CMMS, and that all maintenance work including planned and unplanned work is scheduled through CMMS. This includes follow-up to ensure all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes or procedural changes associated with the work are accurately recorded within CMMS, and work is closed in a timely manner.
  • Communicates directly with Purchasing and Inventory Agent regarding parts required and inventory levels needed to complete all scheduled Work Orders and PM Orders.
  • Manage and schedule maintenance activities such as inspections, instrument calibrations, and equipment preventive maintenance and validation assessments along with coordinating project workload.
  • Prepare and maintain a weekly maintenance schedule.
  • Plan all activities associated with planned plant outages under the direction of the supervisor to provide for maximum use of available resources.
  • Advise when a scheduled maintenance downtime should be rescheduled and communicate and coordinate new plan.
  • Communicate regularly with operations and maintenance to be aware of engineering projects.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance tools & equipment
  • Work with 3rd party equipment and facility support resources to coordinate on-site services.
  • Report out daily Maintenance logs/activities as requested by supervisor.
  • Responsible for notifying supervisor of any problems or issues with inventory, planning and scheduling.
  • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the area worked
  • Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed, especially with a focus on adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
  • Utilizes all food safety and food security guidelines, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) good manufacturing practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
  • Other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager

Position Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing CMMS systems/software in manufacturing (food/beverage industry preferred).
  • General understanding of parts, electrical, welding, and mechanical
  • Strong communication skills and ability to plan/ schedule others to support the business.
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented team player.
  • Must be well versed in Microsoft Office, CMMS, and SAP experience preferred
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to do simple mathematics
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must have great attention to detail, essential problem-solving methods and initiative
  • Must have the ability to learn and apply policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Must have the ability to perform assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision
  • Must have the ability to receive, understand and proactively respond to direction from supervisors/managers and other members of leadership
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Must be able to read, recognize and speak the English language
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours, and be able to sometimes push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to control equipment for forms of communication by grasping, reaching, and using finger dexterity
  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds depending on job task
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to operate carts, dollies, and hand trucks of up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs safely, with or without reasonable accommodation, and work on a secure mezzanine at a height of up to 25 feet
  • Must be able to work in cool conditions in the winter and warm conditions in the summer
