Seeking to hire a full-time Program Manager for the Healthy Families program in Hudson County

Job summary

  • Provides direct supervision to assigned staff in order to enhance their clinical skill sets, leadership qualities and administrative functions
  • Provides on-going support to staff to assure completion of job responsibilities
  • Reviews staff responsibilities to determine time frame and scope of authority, reviews staffing requirements, and allotments of available resources
  • Confers with staff to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Assures new staff, students and volunteers receive departmental orientation and required training
  • Develops staff schedules for both on-site
  • Provides ongoing, intensive, professional supervision to full-time and part time direct staff. This may
  • include one or both of the components of service, family support or family assessment
  • Monitors the performance of assigned staff
  • Conducts quality assurance activities
  • Conducts record reviews
  • Assists in or maintains the data collection system
  • Provides the following level of service (LOS) reports:
  • HF-TIP LOS report submitted to administrative staff by the 5th of each month
  • FAMSYS/TIP report submitted to Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey by the 10th of each month
  • Prepares for site visit reviews
  • Prepares for Healthy Families America Accreditation
  • Facilitates team meetings and plans groups
  • Attends and participates in the HF-TIP quarterly Advisory Board Meetings
  • Attends the Quarterly Prevent Child Abuse supervisors’ meeting and the Quarterly TIP meetings
  • Attends monthly division managers meeting
  • Implements a quality assurance plan
  • Ensures all aspects of the physical environment are in compliance with agency safety and facility       management policies and procedures
  • Promotes the program in the community and engages in marketing activities to pursue referral sources
  • Provides case management
  • On-site or off-site assesses through phone interview, face to face, and/or documents individual family       and support planning and follow-up
  • Responds to the individual needs of their clients and families
  • Protects the integrity and respects the families served (refer to the quality assurance guidelines)
  • Coordinates program’s services with other system partners and service providers
  • Orders supplies (e.g. ordering copy/fax toner from AOS, etc.)
  • Contacts IT department if computers are not working
  • Contacts PCA regarding PIMS database
  • Perform administrative functions, as assigned
 
Position Requirements

Requirements

  • BA or Master’s degree with child development knowledge from accredited college or university
  • At least three (3) years documented work experience with children and families
  • Experience in supervision staff in program and team meetings
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
  • Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance
