American HealthTech, a wholly owned subsidiary of CPSI and a growing software technology company, is searching for a Implementation Professional to join our team. The Implementation Professional assists in customer implementation of the AHT platform in a discipline of clinical, financial or integration (Pharmacy, Therapy, Lab/X-Ray) workflows. The work of the Implementation Professional is performed under the guidance of the specific discipline Senior Implementation Professionals and the Implementation Manager. This role ensures that the end user has been educated and worked through initial roll out of software before transitioning to support staff. The implementation team works closely with the other teams in AHT to help identify areas of advancement, improvement or industry needs to help better the workflows for the end users.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Complete situations/support cases/assigned projects or implementations unassisted
  • Familiarity with software applications like Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook  
  • Be accessible as a resource to team members and team
  • Ability to answers client questions and responds to information requests.
  • Handle special projects as assigned by management
  • Active and attentive listening skills – be agile
  • Ability to receive and apply feedback, particularly related to quality
  • Ability to display a friendly, calm and professional demeanor at all times, even under times of high stress
  • Assist in all aspects of the Implementation including by not limited to: planning, reporting, communication and issue resolution with minimal guidance. 
  • Keeps abreast of new software updates and changes in the post-acute industry processes or regulations.
  • Can be relied upon to achieve optimal outcomes, sustains a high achievement level.
  • Assess the needs and capabilities of a client utilizing knowledge and experience of CPSI solutions after new hire onboarding process and continued employee education.
  • Deploys and utilizes CPSI Best Practice Implementation Methodology.
  • Submits status and project time reports weekly or as requested by management.


Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience/Certification Requirements

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
  • Must be able to act both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA degree in Information Systems or related subindustry, Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Social Work
  • 2+ years’ experience in an  Implementation role or Supporting related AHT (American Health tech) applications
  • Industry knowledge: HIPPA Compliance, Long Term Care Minimum Data Set (MDS) Process, Skilled Nursing Care Survey Process, Skilled Nursing Pharmacy Audit Process, ETC.
  • Proven leadership skills; ability to self-manage; excellent time management skills;
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
  • Must possess excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Successful experience Implementing or Supporting related AHT applications.
  • Excellent time management skills; exceptional ability to identify and track issues and drive them to a conclusion; high level of initiative
  • Discipline Specific Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clinical: Medical Records, Nursing Documentation (Post-Acute), Care Planning, Nursing Assistant Documentation (Post-Acute)
  • Financial: MDS, AP/GL, Payroll, Post-Acute Billing, Insurance Plan Knowledge, Medicare Knowledge
  • Integration: HL7 and NCPDP Standards or Communications, Corepoint Software
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination required


Education/Experience Requirements:

  • College degree in Information Systems, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Pharmacy, Other Healthcare Related degrees or certifications preferred or relevant job experience
  • 2+ years of software implementation and/or support service experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare-based applications like AHT, Evident, MediTech, Cerner, EPIC, PointClickCare, MatrixCare, Athena, etc.
  • Any relevant state or federal license for healthcare related roles should be active and in good standing with licensing agency
