Description

Adventure Summary

The purpose of the position is to partner with the Accounting and Human Resource teams to ensure accurately and timely processing of Payroll, as well as assist the team with other functions of Human Resources.

What You Will Do

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Human Resources

  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers and clients
  • Responsible for maintaining personnel records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Assist HR team with wage and salary payments and changes
  • Processes HSA, dependent care, FSA and 401k reports.
  • Assists team in monitoring wage and hour issues to remain in compliance with FLSA.

Payroll

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions relating to payroll
  • Maintains required documents according to government regulations and company policy
  • Perform internal audits
  • Work with ADP regarding special payrolls
  • Works with HR/Accounting to review and analyze payroll forms and reports for accuracy - making adjustments when necessary
  • Assists in updating and maintaining ADP and Ascentis systems
  • Help ensures timecards have been approved by supervisors
  • Partners with accounting/finance in maintaining the general ledger interface
  • Monitors and approves Ascentis - ADP data bridge to ensure accuracy of names, rates of pay, and position titles of newly hired employees and changes in wage rates and occupations of employees on payroll
  • Assists in maintaining benefits interface with payroll
  • Keeps up to date on compliance with federal and state payroll laws files governmental reports WOTC, Multiple Worksite and Iowa 260E tax credit reporting
  • Upload garnishments to ADP SmartCompliance

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates Brownells Values internally and externally
  • Ability to effectively represent Brownells in a positive light
  • Assists in other payroll/HR support activities as assigned
  • Completes Verification of Employment requests
