Retirement Desk Relationship Consultant 

Description

Provides dedicated support and consultation for select Financial Advisor partners around the country to increase 401(k) referrals received from Financial Advisors along with providing an increased level of service delivered to our mutual clients.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with new and existing financial advisors in order to increase sales revenue to include creating an annual plan with partner FAs to increase referrals, improve client retention and increase participation in plans.
  • Coordinates development of sales proposals for FA referred plans including researching complex plan design requests in order to meet client needs and help sales partners close business.
  • Conducts outbound client retention calls to financial advisors. Works with advisors to formulate retention strategies on an as needed basis.
  • Works with internal partners within Paychex to identify clients in need of retention strategies to develop and implement these strategies.
  • Creates new program models for achieving higher FA referral rates, higher client retention success and higher plan participation.
  • Coordinates FA communication including FA e-mail, announcements, Newsletters, design and production of marketing and enrollment materials and FA interface with Open Fund Select product matrix.
  • Develops and maintains presentations to financial advisors, including telephone scripts, web presentations, video and personal visits to increase referrals, improve client retention and increase participation in plans.
  • Conducts on-boarding calls to acclimate new advisors to the Paychex business model.Develops and manages cross-selling strategies for use in the financial advisor channel to maximize revenue.
  • Manages FA participation in large-plan conversion sales as requested by HRS Sales Representatives and District Sales Managers to ensure a successful conversion.
  • Conducts scheduled quarterly calls to participating FA’s to review referral and retention achievement.
  • Tracks and reports FA activity to management and sales partners to assist with management decision making.
  • Researches and makes recommendations for potential product enhancements or process improvements designed to increase sales or improve service.
  • Manages portfolio of assigned high-value FA’s in order to maximize their revenue productivity.
  • Acts as dedicated point of contact service advisor for assigned list of high-value financial advisors, including but not limited to problem resolution and service requests from initiation through resolution, facilitating communication to advisor throughout any incoming conversions, compiling data and statistics on assigned advisors and plans and assisting FA’s with year end allocation reports, QNEC contributions, match true ups, and other year-end processing requests.
 
Position Requirements
  • Associate's Degree - Preferred
  • 2 years of experience in 401(k) support or administrative experience (Paychex experience preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in Investment industry experience as a fund wholesaler, financial advisor, broker-dealer operations.
