Description

Provides logistics support, utilizing a broad background and can-do attitude to develop accurate assessments of logistic product support and combat system readiness.

  • Learns and adheres to existing processes with the ability to collect data, process it into conclusions and actions / deliverables draft and edit reports and correspondence using clear technical writing.
  • Be willing to endure complex challenges by using critical thinking skills and developing a practical way to move forward.
  • Provides personal performance metrics and highlights to show accountability for work being performed.
  • Compiles reports of investigations, lessons learned and action taken; stating the basis of analyses, evaluations and conclusions reached; provides the justification for the position taken; and submits comparative justification for alternative positions with advantages and/or disadvantages.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of Logistics Supportability Assessments (LOGSATs) documentation including Schedules, Correspondence, Data Pulls, Shipboard Assessment Packages, SITREPs, Power Point Briefs, and Final Report. Participate and support the PARM Reviews, Integrated Logistic Support Management Team (ILSMT) Meetings, Action Items Reviews, and weekly meetings for new construction Amphibious Ships.
  • This involves obtaining current issue status, follow-up and resolution. Assist in the management of schedules for LHA(R), LPD Class, LX(R), SSC, L-Class, CSSQT, and Programmatic events.
  • Actively engage with LPD 17 class support team members in anticipating and/or resolving class Supply Support Issues and Provisioning needs for new construction hulls of the Magnetic Signature Control System (MSCS), Engineering Control System (ECS), Ship Control System (SCS) Navigation Data Distribution System (NDDS), and Ship Wide Area Network (SWAN) AN/SPS73A (V) 13 as required.
  • Perform review of contractor delivered Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD), facilitate correction, and submit for final product(s) acceptance.
  • Coordinate DLA 339's and WSS Technical Referral Supply Support issues with Raytheon for SWAN/SCDN/SPS-73A (V) 13 systems.
  • Conduct shipboard assessments such as Logistics Supportability Assessments (LOGSATs) for inventory of On board repair parts (OBRPs), Maintenance Assistance Modules (MAMs), Test Equipment (TE), and Technical Manuals (PUBs) in accordance with established command procedures.
  • Coordinate with SUPSHIP - Gulf Coast through tracking and monitoring combat system issues, analyzing ILS Checklists, and monitoring the development of Logistics Products.
  • Develop planning inputs for LHA(R) / LHA-7 Technical Manual Outfitting and the Early Logistics Assessment.
  • Maintain action item trackers and logistic product logs to ensure current status for each item is updated and available for review by team lead during weekly meetings.
  • Coordinate and develop profession relationships with ISEAs and PARM across the combat system community to identify, resolve, and document Logistics and supportability issues.
  • Monitor and resolve PMS MIP/MRC Technical Feedback Reports (TFBRs) within deadlines.
  • Travel up to 25% of time for work in industrial and shipboard environments.
 
Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong candidate will have strong experience and knowledge being a Combat Systems IPS Lead, Resolving Technical Feedback Reports (TFBRs), Reviewing and Updating Provisioning Technical Documentation, (PTD), Resolving Supply Support Issues, Supporting Combat System Logistics Supportability Assessments (LOGSATS).
  • Ability to pick up and move 20 lbs. Ability to climb ladders and use hatches during shipboard work.
  • Ability to use Personal Protective gear (Hardhat, earplugs, safety glasses, safety boots (steel toed) rated for use by NSWC PHD Safety Office.
  • Must be accountable for delivering quality and accurate work on or before pre-determined deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Required HS Diploma or GED and military service, or related industry experience
  • Experience with Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred.

  • United States Citizenship / Secret Clearance
