Director, Professional Services 


The Director, Professional Services is a new position that will be responsible for the overall delivery of Ren software solutions to clients as well as the build out of additional Services offerings.

The ideal candidate is a respected leader who has thrived inside high growth successful teams. In this role, you will work closely with our Sales and Customer Success teams to build customer confidence in the Professional Services value proposition. You will also develop a repeatable and scalable approach to implementing services that drive adoption, renewal, and expansion. This is a leadership role and requires a combination of technical and customer-facing skills and the ability to coach and mentor Professional Services professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead client implementation service delivery, providing management and oversight of implementation projects and staffing including project assignments, capacity planning and project profitability
  • Work with the VP, Technical Services and Support to create and define standard Professional Services offering in support of the Services revenue goal
  • Define and implement policies, procedures, and best practices within the Professional Services organization
  • Coordinate hiring and growth of the PS organization as it scales.
  • Coordinate and contribute to the implementation of Professional Services’ methodologies and processes in collaboration with your peers to ensure results are achieved on-time and within budget while maintaining customer happiness.
  • Serve as executive sponsor on strategic customer implementations
  • Partner with Sales in pre-qualification and scoping to ensure that high-quality deals are sold that will lead to successful customer outcomes
  • Maintain a regular forecast of delivered revenue for the current month and the current quarter
Position Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • BS or MS degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading professional services and/or project management teams
  • A technical business acumen that ensures the organization is operating efficiently and effectively
  • Experience with portfolio forecasting and management, resource allocation, and capacity planning
  • Excellent business management skills including all common metrics associated with a consulting or professional services business.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively under pressure f rom both deadlines and unruly customers
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail and able to complete tasks when committed
  • Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate across departments and practice areas, able to facilitate collaborative problem solving without pushing personal agendas
  • Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties
  • Deep understanding of the key concepts and practices of observability, coupled with experience implementing robust systems that leverage metrics, logs, and traces to provide holistic state of operations
