Description

Job Title: Field Manager

Position Reports to: Area Operation Manager

Direct Reports: Punch Carpenters and Sub Crews

Purpose: To maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring jobs are completed on schedule, to correct specifications, and in budget. Maintain a good working relationship with customer's personnel and ensure issues are resolved promptly.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Quality walk all functions to insure the jobs are completed to SSC standards and to code
- Walk homes with appropriate documents for an accurate takeoffs
- Insure that trim crews and punch carpenter have the correct material to complete jobs
- Get through every active neighborhood twice weekly to update tracking sheets
- Turn in tracking sheets on Friday to facilitate jobs starts process
- Perform every tasks possible (Takeoffs, Inspections, etc) in each neighborhood and turn in daily
- Maintain job starts in orderly manner to be available for all functions during neighborhood site visits
- Generate notes throughout the day from walks, customer's call and email, and punch carpenter reports to consolidate to the next day
- Disburse all punch carpenters daily with organized list of tasks
- Oversee warranty for your area
- Build relationships with customer's builder
- Stay current on industry trends and news
- Participate in any SSC provided training

Management skills:
You must possess proficient communication skills with a variety of clients, subcontractors and hourly employees. Comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience with construction schedules. Working knowledge of trim installation in a production atmosphere (quality and speed) and High end Custom (Open Stairs, Cabinets, pampered Clients) is preferred. Organizational skills are critical.

Frequency of (+/-) comments by customer
Customer retention and testimonials
Material usage and operating costs
Actual vs. Budget Job Cost

 
Salary Based on experience

Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • At least two (2) years of leadership/management experience preferred
  • Ability to manage relationships, both internally and externally
  • Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft, and Dropbox
  • Able to multi-task, organize, and prioritize time and responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are critical
