Location: Phoenix, AZ

Position Summary:

The business is a manufacturing-based operation-oriented workplace and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a like or similar environment.

Responsibilties:

  • Maintain and improve the company's inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics to determine which materials are being consumed and which are not.
  • Act as an interface between all necessary internal departments and any 3PL suppliers. This may include interaction with the carrier as well in some circumstances.
  • Draft inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.
  • Develops and implements systems for accurately managing inventory.
  • Performs regular inventory counts.
  • Works to resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical inventory quickly and accurately.
  • Proactively performs extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports, from previous inventory reports to purchasing trends.
  • Proactively measure the identified risks to the inventory level changes and in conjunction with the Production team, produce plans to eliminate or reduce the identified risk(s).
  • Manage, maintain, and communicate regular inventory status reports/metrics on the health and current status as necessary to internal stakeholders and/or the Management team.
  • Manage and maintain inventory records; ensure proper documents are complete, current, and stored properly.
  • Onsite analysis of inventory may be required in some circumstances.
  • Monitors and reports on necessary K.P.I.s to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Actively practice and participate in necessary Lean activities when applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Business or similar field) in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar inventory analyst / management position.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred
  • Must have excellent analytical and communications skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and ability to quickly learn new computer systems/software. Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is preferred.
  • Strong emphasis as a team player that thrives in a cooperative team environment and presents themselves in a polished professional manner.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred
