POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Director of Annual and Affinity Giving is responsible for increasing annual philanthropic support for the annual funds of Moravian University and Theological Seminary. This position will focus on affinity giving, consistent giving, and recurring giving, while building relationships across campus and with alumni, and developing a best-in-class reunion giving program.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of annual giving strategies that will meet or exceed established goals for unrestricted and restricted annual gifts and alumni participation.
  • Develop and oversee a high-performing, high-engagement peer solicitor network consisting of reunion classes, consistent and recurring giving donors, and affinity groups.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of 50 assigned annual giving prospects while identifying those who might be cultivated for larger gifts.
  • Develop and implement strategies for retention and growth of the Main Street Society (consistent giving), recurring giving donors, and affinity groups such as the Music Alliance and Friends of Reeves Library.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Annual and Affinity Giving.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Must have the ability to recruit, motivate and train volunteers as well as work independently with minimal supervision. The position demands strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent verbal and written skill, and a desire and ability to work with and through others to achieve agreed upon goals. Requires a team player who can multitask and work under firm deadlines. Computer literacy including internet competency as well as experience with Microsoft Office and Google applications, particularly database applications, word processing and spreadsheets, is essential. Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends.
