YWCA Minneapolis is the largest nonprofit provider of nationally accredited early childhood education in the state of Minnesota. Our five early learning centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and are Four Star Parent Aware rated. We offer full-time child care and education, serving infant to school-age children.

We are seeking professional, passionate educators to help deliver our anti-bias curriculum and equip children for success. Responsible for developing and leading enrichment activities across the early childhood department. Preparing Tracking as needed any ECE Outcomes Reporting, Parent Aware, NAEYC Accreditation and DHS Licensing. Participate in center, center teams, department, and agency teams when applicable. Understand and interpret the YWCA mission to children, staff and families.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist the Advancement Department in ECE Outcomes Reporting :

  • Develop, prepare and deliver high quality enrichment programs to infant through school age children in an early childhood setting. Including but not limited to music, movement, mindfulness, and art.
  • Produce parent materials to enhance center enrichment programs.
  • Lead special events at centers based on ECE enrichment.
  • Complete all data collections around enrichment at the ECE locations as needed.
  • Assist in accreditation, licensing, curriculum, training and data collection and standards

 

 

 
Position Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Strong music and enrichment background with demonstrated ability in engaging young children.
  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Music or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated customer service skill
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write enrichment activities for infant through school age, newsletter articles and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees in the organization
