POSITION SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the effectiveness of the casino’s daily overall Player Development operations, including, but not limited to, informational center, coat check area and players club area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions.
  2. Responsible for the effectiveness of the Casino’s daily overall Player Development operations.
  3. Supervises Winners Club staff, Casino Hosts, and Valets in a professional manner. Selects and trains department personnel.
  4. Development and implementation of yearly promotional plan.
  5. Assists in formulating short and long term goals for the Casino to increase profitability.
  6. Assesses conditions of deficiencies in Winners Club system and reports to aid in the implementation of internal controls.
  7. Oversees the growth of gaming revenues by identifying and cultivating mid and high level Slot and Table Game players with emphasis on developing relationships.
  8. Reviews Casino Host reports for guest play for comps and bonuses, while maintaining positive margins and increased levels of play. Requisitions out coupons.
  9. Builds relationships with targeted guests through on site and off site activities.
  10. Greets guests and maintains a positive and friendly attitude at all times. Always providing prompt and courteous service.
  11. Sets goals for Casino Host and follow through with seeing that they are met and accounted for.
  12. Continuously markets gaming operations and amenities to casino guests.
  13. Supervises development of marketing programs. Keeps informed of competitions’ promotions.
  14. Oversees ordering and strategic and timely placement of internal signage.
  15. Answers guests’ questions about Casino’s operations within compliance of the confidentiality agreement and, if unable to, then refers to staff members who can answer.
  16. Assures positive employee relations and maximum guest service satisfaction to our guests by implementing the Guest Service Culture program.
  17. Implements approved Policies & Procedures, controls and directives to correct deficiencies for attainment of Casino’s objectives and goals while safeguarding all assets relative to the gaming operation.
  18. Maintains Weekly payroll, financial reports, employment activity records and other requested reports for management.
  19. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
  20. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
  21. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  22. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
  23. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
  24. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
  25. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Knowledge of Gaming Personnel Policy/Procedures, Federal, Tribal and contract regulations and Internal Controls.
  2. Must be able to establish data recording/retrieval system.
  3. Must be able to communicate effectively to the public and staff, must have effective verbal and written communication skills to develop training requirements and enhancements.
  4. Supervisory and managerial experience.
  5. Ability to lead, mentor and develop team members.
  6. Ability to negotiate conflict effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Physically capable of sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time.
  2. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education Required: Associates’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or a related field

Education Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: Three or more years related experience, preferably in casino marketing

A combination of education and experience may be considered as a substitute for degree requirement.

Computer Skills: Must have strong computer skills

Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
