Final Test Technician

In this role, you will

  • Perform routine testing of sub-assemblies and laser systems according to manufacturing procedures.
  • Perform simple optical alignment of laser devices.
  • Clean, handle, and install optics and optical devices.
  • Perform simple troubleshooting to the sub-assembly level.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and record system test data.
  • Assist in failure analysis of sub-assemblies and systems by documenting and presenting failure modes and initial troubleshooting results to supporting technicians or engineering.
  • Follow test procedures, best practices, processes and policies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, protocols and industry regulations.


Position Requirements

Essential requirements for the role

  • Experience with standard testing equipment, i.e., multimeters, optical power meters, current meters, oscilloscope, thermocouples.
  • Technical degree or certificate in electronics or laser technology.
  • 2 - 4 years in a laser/medical device test position.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot typical problems and offer suggestions for resolution.
  • Ability to work from process methods and verbal instruction.
  • Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to routinely stand or sit for up to 2 hours.
  • Ability to routinely bend, reach, stoop, push and pull.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and a keen eye for discrepancies.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Computer skills - Excel, Microsoft office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
