Public Relations Assistant - Temporary 


Job Summary

Aid Public Relations Manager with event coordination, social media organization and general assistance with programming. All duties and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with the Yellowhawk Mission and Vision statements.

Essential Job Functions

  1. General administrative duties like proof reading, copying, filing, and overall assistance.
  2. Ability to attend events as needed for photo opportunities and in place of PR Manager.
  3. Answering phones, responding to emails and inquiries, and performing other administrative tasks.
  4. Managing calendars and media lists.
  5. Maintaining the PR database, documenting media coverage, and tracking PR metrics.
  6. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, media, and vendors.
  7. Work well with various departments and programs.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma / Equivalent
  2. Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and scheduling applications.
  3. Experience with event organization and promotion.
  4. Strong skills in the following: communication (both oral and written), organization, writing, and time management.
  5. Candidate must have great attention to details and computer competencies.
  6. Must submit to and pass a reference and criminal background check.
  7. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  8. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain insurance requirements to operate General Services Administration vehicles.
  9. Must submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Graphic Design utilizing Canva.
  2. Database and MS excel skills.
