All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Category Accounting/Finance   Description Position Summary: Sciton is growing rapidly and seeking a Payroll and Equity Administrator who will take ownership of the global payroll process and stock equity to calculate and maintain options offers, executions, and reporting.   In this role, you will be: Manage end to end biweekly payroll process for employees, including commission payments for US and Canada Process manual checks and/or voids for termination(s) Partner with HR for on boarding, and educating managers, employees on time and attendance. Analyze and audit payroll data for accuracy Prepare journal entries related to payroll and benefits and record timely and accurately Conduct consistent audits and reconcile payroll reports to the GL by reviewing payroll entries Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations, and international locations Respond to employee and manager inquiries in timely manner Ensure that all forms of equity compensation are administered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the plan(s) under which they are granted Be the point of contact for all internal and external inquiries related to equity Consolidate and maintain equity database integrity and ensure accuracy of employees' data contained in Shareworks and other manual tracking systems Perform routine audits on all data has been processed and reconcile shares Ensure grants, exercises, repurchases and expiration are recorded in a timely manner in the equity platform, including partnering with HR to ensure new hire grants are captured in a timely manner Prepare journal entries and supporting reports for equity-related accounts Support all board meetings, as needed Ensure completion of year-end tax compliance related to Section 6039 / forms 3921   Position Requirements   Essential Requirements: 5+ years of payroll experience and 3+ years of Stock administration experience, CEP preferable Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Comfortable in a fast-paced changing environment Comfortable communicating with all levels of employees Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices Knowledge of multi-state legislation and regulations in payroll field Comprehensive and current understanding of ASC 718 preferred Excellent MS Excel skills     Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Payroll & Equity Sr Accountant   Location Palo Alto (HQ)   About the Organization SCITON is an industry leader and manufacturer of medical aesthetic lasers and light source technologies.
