Marketing Support Specialist 

Description

Assure the highest level of professionalism and customer service in providing marketing, clerical, administrative and business support as assigned by the Director for internal and external customers of Tulsa Tech.

Essential Functions

  1. Produce various types of correspondence, both paper and electronic, including letters, policies, presentations, and other documents, including the drafting of content when requested, assuring excellent grammar, proofreading and expert use of word processing software to produce professional level formatting and appearance.
  2. Provide professional communications services with a skilled customer service orientation including: telephone answering and message services, dealing with vendors; greeting visitors; providing information in response to internal and external customer inquiries; taking complete, accurate messages and providing timely relay of the information; re-directing callers to appropriate respondents, and providing follow-up to requests when appropriate.
  3. Assist with social media management, maintain the district wide marketing calendar and assist with campus newsletters as needed.
  4. Assist with printing of various marketing pieces through coordination with the Tulsa Tech printing facilities.
  5. Maintain the District online promotional items site/store and promotional item ordering/inventory; prepare deposits of funds as needed.
  6. Coordinate with department staff regarding the department budget, obtain quotes for various projects, prepare requisitions, track purchase orders and receive invoices into iVisions as needed.
  7. Serve as a liaison between campuses and the marketing department to ensure effective communication district wide.
  8. Perform assigned clerical duties to assure efficient and effective operation of the campus/department which may include such activities as: coordinating and setting up meetings; assisting with preparations for events sponsored by campus staff; preparing documents for mailing; scheduling and updating calendars; maintaining, filing and retrieving records in accordance with systems standards; distributing information to various individuals.
  9. Prepare routine and special request reports, which may include researching and gathering data, performing calculations and arranging the data into report format.
  10. Assist in the preparation of special materials, which market campus/department events by providing writing, proofing and production of presentations, visual aids, fact sheets and signs.
  11. Performs tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; complies with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
 
Position Requirements
  • This position requires a minimum of 3 year’s business/education experience in a variety of marketing and customer service functions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency, through third-party assessment, in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  • Able to conduct detailed research utilizing Internet search engines
  • Proof Reading and Editing
  • Basic Photography preferred
  • Bilingual is a plus

Salary Schedule Operations Support - 12 Month Contract  
Hiring Range $29,250 to $32,516 annually dependent upon experience, plus $6,900 additional compensation yearly for salary-in-lieu of paid dependent benefit coverage
