We are committed to our residents and our staff; we have a high staff to resident ratio.   Position Home Attendant   Description A Home Attendant provides housekeeping and dietary services to the residents of Wildflower Court in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Under the direction of the Custodial Services Manager, the Environmental Services personnel strive to ensure the provision of the highest quality service at all times. Essential Functions Coordinate daily cleaning services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas. Participate in professional activities, mandatory in-services as required. Wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts, etc.) when lifting or moving heavy objects. Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Keep work/assignment areas free of hazardous objects, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc. Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used in the work area. Refer to material safety data sheets (SDSs) when necessary. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials. Follow established handwashing procedures. Dispose of refuse daily in accordance with our established sanitation procedures. Coordinate isolation procedures with nursing service.   Position Requirements Qualifications Must possess, as a minimum, an 8th grade education No experience required. On-the-job training provided. Must possess and maintain an Alaskan Food Workers Card.    Practice Notice: To ensure our facility provides the safest environment for our residents, their families and our staff, all newly hired employees must provide evidence of being fully vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
