HOURLY RATE: $12.12
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Six (6) months experience in food handling.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Submit to a TB test on an annual basis with a negative result.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs routine tasks in the preparation of food and distribution of meals for the GCCAA Senior Food Program; works under the supervision of the GCCAA Cook/Manager; performs related duties as required.
STATEMENT OF TASKS:
- Prepares salads for daily meals in accordance with established menu cycle;
- Assist in the preparation of deserts and other food items;
- Assists in wrapping and packaging meats for distribution to food sites;
- Assists in cleaning utensils, counters and cupboards and other kitchen equipment;
- Assists in unloading and storing supplies when delivered to the kitchen.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Some knowledge of food handling;
- Ability to understand and follow directions;
- Ability to handle food stuffs in prescribed sanitary manner;
- Ability to work with diverse populations;
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships;
- Ability to attend work regularly and work under stressful conditions;
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively and respectfully in a complex, multicultural work environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion.
