This is a great entry-level opportunity for the right person who is not afraid to get dirty and get the job done! Great pay and benefits! Purpose: Keep heavy duty repair shop and surrounding areas in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk and parking lot. Gather and empty trash. Keep the entire shop area clean, neat and organized at all times. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Clean windows, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees. Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events, such as meetings. Clean furniture and fixtures. Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment. Move heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
