As a Housekeeping Supervisor you will:

  • Direct the activities of the Housekeeping/Laundry department, and furnish daily cleaning to guestrooms and all other areas of the hotel.
  • Communicate all maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate individuals.
  • Distribute daily workload to room attendants.
  • Ensure good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel. Assist with proper emergency and security procedures.
  • Is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, neatness and good repair of all hotel areas.
  • Perform detailed inspection of all guestrooms (vacant, checkouts and occupied alike), instruct on necessary corrections and rechecks to make sure corrections have been made.
  • Assist with cleaning of unassigned rooms as a room attendant prior to performing room inspections of other room attendants.
  • Provide guestroom status reports to the Front Desk
  • Supervise the training and motivation of the housekeeping staff.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Day time hours Thursdays - Mondays. Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Position Requirements

EDUCATION: General high school education or better preferred. Must speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one year housekeeping experience. Some supervisory experience preferred.

PHYSICAL: Requires bending, stooping, climbing, standing, walking, sitting, fingering, reaching, grasping, carrying, repetitive motions, visual acuity, hearing, writing and good verbal skills. On occasion may be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
